Sign Pics and Video Shoutouts ... Quick Update and Some Frequently Asked Questions

Hi, everyone. A week or so ago, I posted a handful of pictures on Instagram of recent sign pictures I had taken, mostly for followers on TikTok. And I don't know who shared it or where, but the post exploded. As of right now, the post has more than 14,000 likes, and it's been shared or reposted nearly 24,000 times. It's led to more than 600 comments and hundreds of DMs and submissions here to the page asking for sign pictures and video shoutouts. So, I wanted to share a bit of an update and maybe answer a few questions.

Quick Update:

So first, an update. At this moment, I have well over 200 requests for sign pictures waiting to be fulfilled. I am fulfilling these as quickly as I can, but please remember that I do this in my spare time, which is limited. Please be patient with your bitch! ;)

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How do I request a sign picture or video shoutout?

A: The best way is through the form on my home page.

Q: Are these free?

A: They are free. There is no charge. I do this because I enjoy the interaction with all of you and love that these make you and your friends and followers laugh or smile when you see them. That said, I do accept tips that help cover some of my expenses (like giant poster paper for the signs, photo/video editing software, lighting, and my not-inexpensive outfits). There is no obligation to tip me, but any amount is greatly appreciated. To tip via CashApp, visit https://cash.app/$ShawnaTheMaid or scan the QR code below:

Q: How do you prioritize requests?

A: For the most part, I try to fulfill requests in the order they come in. That is not always possible, as requests come to me through different channels (the website form, which is the best way; DMs on my various social media accounts; and comments -- when I notice them -- on my social posts). So, it's more a matter of the order in which I see them rather than the order in which they come in. I do try to prioritize requests that are date-specific, like for birthdays or weddings, but I cannot guarantee that I will be able to deliver before a certain date.

Q: Is there any way to get my request fulfilled faster?

A: Given the volume of requests I'm currently getting, I have decided to prioritize requests from people who tip. Tipping remains entirely optional and does not guarantee you'll get immediate service. This isn't like paying for expedited shipping, and fulfilling these requests still depends on my availability to shoot new photos. Note: Most people for whom I take sign pictures do not tip, and that is entirely fine. It doesn't diminish your chances of getting a picture or a video shoutout. I just think it's only fair to move folks who have sent money up to or near the front of the line.

I will also candidly admit that I do sometimes pick requests to move up the list simply because I like somebody's vibe when they make their request. People who embrace the whole playful idea of the power dynamic and actually have fun treating me like their bitch in their comments, DMs, etc. do tend to pique my interest and sometimes get moved up the list. Again, that doesn't mean anybody should feel an obligation to do anything other than submitting a request; it's just the truth of the matter: Talk to me like I'm your bitch, and I'm more likely to jump to attention and perform for you like I'm your bitch. ;)

Q: Are you still doing video shoutouts?

A: I'm certainly still open to doing video shoutouts, but I've definitely de-emphasized them in favor of the sign pictures. Videos are just a lot harder to deliver. There is a lot more time involved in producing and editing them. And the nature of my videos typically requires that I be able to do full-body shoots; it's just not the same if I just sit at my computer and record. People ask me for pics and videos because they want to see the whole Shawna the Maid character, all the way down to the heels. And since I don't have a great space for recording video, that makes these more of a challenge. So, that doesn't mean I won't record videos; it just means they're going to take more time (perhaps significantly more time) to deliver them.

Q: Is there anything you won't write on a sign or say in a video?

A: Yes. I don't have a definitive list of banned words or anything like that, but my whole vibe is what I call "playful public humiliation." That's not the same as degradation. It's not about me doing anything that makes me feel bad about myself. If somebody wants a sign picture in which I refer to myself as "ugly," "worthless," "dumb," "fat," "pig," etc., I'm likely to turn down those requests. At the same time, I'm generally fine with signs that say I'm somebody's "bitch," "slut," "whore," etc. So, this really is a feel thing for me ... it's fluid, and I consider every requests based on the specifics of the request, the context, and the interactions I've recently had with the person making the request. Bottom line ... if it feels like it's more about putting me down than having fun with my playful public humiliation, it's a no. Also, if I think a request might violate a platform's community standards, I have to say no to that as well. I'm happy to play at the edges, but I have to respect the rules if I want to continue to be able to share my content.

Q: Are your sign pictures AI-generated?

A: I use AI (generally just the capabilities within Photoshop) to sometimes clean up or replace the backgrounds in my pictures. But that's me in the frilly French maid uniforms holding the playfully humiliating signs. I don't have a studio or professional equipment, so not every picture turns out the way I would like. And sometimes I just get bored seeing the same backgrounds in one picture after another. So, I sometimes just clean them up, and sometimes I'm just trying to make the pictures more fun and more interesting. When the weather is good, I try to get out and take the pictures in public places so the backgrounds are naturally more interesting.

Q: Was your Instagram recently disabled by Meta?

A: Yes, both my Instagram and my Shawna the Maid Facebook profile were disabled by Meta on March 16, 2026. Thankfully, I was able to work through the appeals process to demonstrate that I'm not a bot and that my accounts had not violated community standards. And within 24 hours, both accounts had been restored, and I had received apologies for the misunderstanding like this one:

Conclusion

I think that's about it for now. I've got to get back to actually taking these pictures and posting them like a good little bitch. ;) But if you have questions about sign pics and video shoutouts ... or anything else, really ... please send me an email or a DM through one of my social platforms, or just leave it in the comments below, and I'll do my best to answer.
